CONFIDENTIALITY

Your healer will take notes of healing sessions with clients; these case notes and any written evaluation will be held in strict confidence within the structure of the organization.

Note: Limits to confidentiality for medical and complementary practitioners in exceptional circumstances where required by a court of law [taken from UK Healers Quality Standards: Healing and The Law (2014)]

In specified circumstances the law requires Registered Healers, medical practitioners, therapists and counselors to attend court and disclose medical records and case notes and/or answer questions about the content of sessions.  If a healing consultation relates to a case before a court of law the court may require the Registered Healer to attend as a witness with any relevant documents. The court may ask what the patient said or what occurred during a healing session, and the healer must answer truthfully. The court will usually understand and respect the wish of healers to maintain patient confidentiality, and only seek information if the court considers it absolutely necessary and relevant to the issues before the court.
